Citys are the biggest energy users. Shops, streets, households and the internet, our everyday life is based on energy. Rarely anyone questions where it comes from.
By focusing one whole semester on building a windmill, we dealed with the questions of energy resources and how much energy everyday objects need.
Me and my team figured our own windmill plate shape out. With cardboard prototypes and drawings we constructed our final shape. Important for us was to form the most efficient angle to create a high amount of energy.
With a Rhino model we CNC milled our wings out of an aluminium plate. The engraving of the future edges helped us during the assembling part. For lighter wings, we filled them with foam and glued two of the bended parts together.
